**Outside Reading novel for 2nd marking period is Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun."

Over break: Finish the play, "Raisin in the Sun," act 2.  You may work on your Romanticism projects if you choose.  Happy holidays!!!

For Tues. 1/6: You should have your short story for your project read by now!  
For Wed. 1/7: You must have "The Devil and Tom Walker" read by this date (it's in your textbook)
For Thurs. 1/8: Read Poe's "The Raven" and take notes.  Also, have Vocab 7 exercises completed.

For Mon. 1/12: Reading quiz and notes check for Act 2 of "Raisin in the Sun."  
For Tues. 1/13: Vocab 7 quiz

For Fri. 9/5: Bring in your books covered, have your notebooks with 3 sections

For Mon. 9/8: Bring in notes on "A Farewell to Arms" - 10 character points, 5 plot points, 2 questions, 2 other interesting ideas or points about the novel.  Bring the novel to class.

For Tues. 9/9: Summer Reading Test - Multiple choice, matching and true false questions on "A Farewell to Arms".  Write one paragraph including plot summary and some ideas for theme/symbols for the optional choice novel.

For Thurs. 9/11: In-class essay assignment on optional choice novel - you may use your book.

For Fri. 9/12: Take notes on pages 2-10 of literature textbook using the note-taking guide from class

Mon. 9/13: Vocab 1 packet

Wed. 9/15: Answer Bradford questions on handout

Thurs. 9/16: Vocab 1 quiz; bring in 3 pictures of significant events in your lives

Fri. 9/17: Type and extend journal response for first picture

Tues. 9/21: Have outside reading book!  First quiz will be on Oct. 6.  Also, have answers to Bradstreet questions, and THREE typed journal responses/body paragraphs for your autobiography essays.
