Welcome Class Information Resources Important Dates Welcome To Mrs. Astudillo's Class! This is a very special year in your child's school career! First grade is a time to experience important transitions and acquire new skills. During the year, your child will learn how to read, write stories, add, subtract, and so much more.  I hope to instill a love of learning that will last throughout your child's years of schooling! Coming to School and Dismissal School starts at 8:30.  Children may line up outside the classroom.  If it is below 40 degrees or raining out, the children may line up in the All Purpose Room in front of our class hallway. Dismissal is at 3:00 at the back door. Homework Folders Homework folders go home every night.  Please check your child's folder every night for important information. Library Books Our class will visit the library once a week.  A book must be returned before another is taken out.   Birthdays You may send in a simple, healthy class snack to celebrate your child's birthday.  You may also come in to read a book as well.  Please notify me if you would like to do this.
