Choral Music at Haworth
Junior Choir
The choir consists of all students from Grades 4 and 5 and is designed to introduce students to the world of choral music. Students learn the technical elements of vocal production and sing all types of choral literature.The Junior choir performs two concerts a year (Winter and Spring).
Senior Choir
The choir is a non-auditioned ensemble made up of students from Grades 6, 7 and 8. Senior choir meets every Monday, during the first half of lunch. Students sing many different types of choral literature and perform on two concerts a year (Winter and Spring).
Select Choir
Students who are already participating in Senior choir are eligible to audition for Select Choir. Auditions are held in September and all those who are currently in sixth grade through eighth grade can audition. The choir participates in many performances throughout the year including concerts, the festival competition trip and community performances. Select choir meets every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:50 a.m. and students are required to attend a morning rehearsal once a week.
