Class Information

Course Description:

Fifth Grade Health Class - This is a mini course taught for a six periods during health class which covers how to dealing with bullying in school. The students will learn how to identify bullying and how to deal with it as a victum, bully and bystander.

Sixth Grade -  Transition to Middle School Class - This course is held once a month during study skills class. The purpose of this class is to have class discussion on related topics that include transitions to middle school and adolescence. Some topics include dealing with peer pressure, popularity, conflict resolution, getting help when you need it, Cyber Bullying, dealing with bullies and friendships.

Seventh Grade - This is a mini course taught for three periods during health class which introduces students Career Choices as the students explore their personality types and career categories.

Eighth Grade - Classes taught throughout the year to help students transition to the High School. Students select elective courses for high school and begin to make decions regarding high school activities they may be interested in.

Classroom lessons for all grade levels are on going throughout the year covering topics that are specific to each class.
