Recycled Art Supplies

Recycling isn't only good for the earth but it is also a good way to help out the Art Department. Many objects that we may throw out day to day can be used as art materials or supplies If you come across any of these items or additional items you may think are useful, please donate them to the Art Department.
Here is a list of some of the supplies that we could use


brown paper bags
wallpaper books
calendars, posters (new or used)
old magazines (age appropriate, name and address removed)
old animal books or animal magazines
newspaper
books from hair stylists (full frontal faces and facial features)
adult size button down shirts (smocks)
yarn, yarn, yarn - any kind or color - for weaving
buttons
fabric
wrapping paper
clean nylon stockings
laundry detergent containers
caps from plastic laundry detergent bottle
plastic dishes with lids (butter/margarine – Cool Whip)
Pringles cans – Lays Stax – Whiska snacks containers (any plastic container with lid)
coffee cans with lids
Zip-lock storage bags
sponges
odd saucers, cups, bottles, glasses for still life drawings
baby food jars or small jars with a top
microwave dinner trays
egg cartons (cardboard and styrofoam)
styrofoam trays
sea shells
old jewelry
old kitchen utensils
old silk flowers
old vases
old boots or shoes
old solid colored bed sheets
old blankets
Baby wipe containers with or without lid
wrapping paper, paper towel rolls or any size cardboard rolls
old cards (front - all occasions)
scrap wood pieces
old tools - hammers, pliers, etc.
electric mixers
blenders
irons
misc. arts and crafts items or supplies
"how to" art books for our classroom library
old coffee table art books
Anything that you may think is useful
