Report Cards
During this month we will be reading biographies. You will be reading the biography at home. There are outlines that you need to fill in as you find the information in your book. You will need to use the book to do the work. Even if you finish reading the book early, you will need to have the book to do the project. You will also be graded on the outlines that you will be given.
Project directions for a Clue Board will be sent home in January. We will share these projects in class and then, make a bulletin board in the hall for all the students to read.
The biography that you choose should be about a famous American in history or science.
We have many biographies in class that you may want to choose.
You will become the class expert on the person you pick.
Together we can help your child have a successful year.
Please check on your child's school supplies of pencils, erasers, glue sticks. The items on
the supply list are important. If you follow the color coding it will be much easier for your child.
The red book sock, the red notebook and red folder are for Health.
The green book sock, the green notebook and green folder are for Social Studies.
The blue folder is for Science.
Other folders and notebooks are for Homework and Go-going projects in Math, Reading, Writing, etc. It will be helpful for your child to have the plastic sleeves put into the looseleaf book before coming to school. All personal supplies and sweaters, lunchboxes and snack bags need to have your child's name preferably written with a permanent marker.
