We are beginning a new exciting year in Art.  Students are creating Drawings, Paintings, Sculptures, Assemblage Designs, Discussing Careers and more.  We are focusing on connections to Math and relating our art lessons to that idea.  The focus is on Tessellations, Perspective, Graphing as well as Line, Form and Shape. This year's art exhibit is going to be an exciting one.

Class happenings:
Grade 8 is working on creating sculptures, both relief and in the round.
Grade 7 is working on a math connection of tessellations.
Grade 6 is working on Impressionism.
Grade 5 is working on sculpting Gremlins with pariscraft.

Students are encouraged to sketch throughout the year.  They may bring in drawings for extra credit that they render on their own.  Each student has a sketchbook, issued by the Art Department which they can use for this purpose.
