Homework:

Homework is an integral part of your child's school program.  It is meant as a reinforcement of what your child has learned in school.  Homework should take your child approximately 40 minutes each night to complete.  Students should spend no more than 90 minutes per evening on homework.  Please contact me via note, e-mail, or phone if your child is taking longer to complete his/her homework or if great difficulty is encountered with a specific homework assignment.
Long range assignments will be assigned adequately in advance so that students have an appropriate amount of time to complete their projects.  With long term projects the guidelines for the assignment as well as a grading rubric will be distributed so that expectations can be clearly met.  Missed homework assignments will result in a yellow slip and are calculated into your child's marking period grade.
