Extra Help Times: Children can meet with the teacher on Wednesday afternoons at 3:00-3:30.
Locations: We meet in the classroom.
There are nineteen children in our classroom.
The children have homework each day of the week. On Mondays they will receive their spelling words for the week. This week is Unit 25
They receive their challenge words on Tuesday for the week.
Each Friday there is a spelling test. They will spell the words and write dictation sentences.
The children will be reading their new reading books, Language Arts materials, math books, and handwriting books.
The children are writing their assignments in their agendas each day. They do not have written homework on the weekends. However, they should be reading each day for at least twenty minutes. They must also study their math fact cards. They will be receiving time tests on the addition and the subtraction facts and the three second grades will be meeting on Fridays for review math card games.
The children are responsible for bringing their homework assignments home each day, doing their assignments, and then bringing their homework back to school. They should also be bringing their agendas home each day.
The children must have two chapter books in their desks at all times to read in class.
We have Physical Education classes on Mondays and Fridays, Art on Tuesday, Music on Thursday, and Italian class on Wednesday.
We have library on Tuesdays. The children must return their books each week in order to get new books to read. We also have Technology on Thursday.
