The children have homework each day of the week. On Mondays they will receive their spelling words for the week. This week is Unit12.
They have sixteen spelling words and eight challenge words.
Each Friday there is a spelling test. They will spell the words and write dictation sentences.
The children will be reading their new reading books. They will also be working in their Language Arts materials, math books, and handwriting books.
The children are writing their assignments in their agendas each day. They should be bringing their agendas home each day. I am asking the parents to please check the agendas to be sure that the children have been doing their homework and sign or initial the agenda. They do not have written homework on the weekends. However, they should be reading each day for at least twenty minutes.
The children are responsible for bringing their homework assignments home each day, doing their assignments, and then bringing their homework back to school. They should also be bringing their agendas home each day.
The children must have two chapter books in their desks at all times to read in class.
We have Physical Education classes on Mondays and Fridays, Art on Tuesday, Music on Wednesday, and Italian class on Thursday.
We have library on Wednesdays. The children must return their books each week in order to get new books to read. We also have Technology on Monday.
