Course Description: LLE and DMS Instrumental Music Program

Class Policy:

1. Attendance: All lessons and rehearsals. The lesson schedule for each week will be posted inside the DMS music room. All teachers are given a copy of the lesson schedule. The lesson schedule at LLE will be given to the homeroom teachers. Absences or lateness for either lessons or rehearsals will result in a poor grade and or dismissal from the music program. The lesson schedule is a once a week rotated pull-out schedule. It is your child’s responsibility to attend all of their instrumental music lessons. Classroom exams and other class work must be made up by your child as prearranged by your child and academic teacher.

2. Preparation and Practice : All materials such as instruments, music, pencil and accessories must be brought to school for all lessons. All students will be required to practice no less than 4 days per week for 30 minutes each time. A lack of preparation and practice will result in dismissal from the music program. Developing good practice habits is the best way and the only way to insure your child’s success.
